Our Story

Ideas Squared has been helping clients succeed for over 15 years. Throughout our existence, Ideas Squared's vision has always been lead by our original founders, Jay Joyce and Bill McCown. Our humble beginnings in 1994 paved the way for our expansion and growth over the years. Notable clients have included the Carolina Panthers, GE Lighting, Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Max-Fli Golf and Fran Tarkenton's Small Business Network...just to name a few. In Atlanta, our agency worked with the biggest and brightest minds in the Southeast to create memorable corporate websites and marketing materials.

Some of our larger clients had offices here in Charlotte, which required on-site work. It was through this work that Jay and Bill discovered the unique charm of the city...so much that they decided to relocate their offices here in early 2006. Jay describes Charlotte as a city embracing "Northern hussle with Southern hospitality." The Ideas Squared vision continues in Charlotte, bringing a successful track record and deep-experience in helping clients make their businesses successful. Clients like Potter & Company CPA, Rutland Plastic Technologies, Advantage Software, Union Ink, Integrated Dealer Systems/Astra, Greater Carolinas Red Cross and Metro GreenScape and many more.

During their idle time, Jay and Bill authored the book for fellow entrepreneurs, "The Success Guide To Your Small Business," a hands-on step-by-step guide to start, grow and make money with your business. As an extension of this project, Jay and Bill mentor several businesses in the Charlotte area. They also believe strongly in community involvement, serving on the Boards of the Greater Carolinas Red Cross, the Sons of the American Revolution, and the Center for Community Transitions. But their passion still resides in providing clients with creative web design, innovative print and graphic design, and new ideas in marketing approaches and programs.
